It’s been so long since I have been home  It’s been so long since I have slept like a baby It’s been so long since I took a deep breath and let loose  It’s been so long since I ate till my stomach hurt  It’s been so long since my smile reached my eyes  Now that I have you, will you be my home? Will you come back to me every evening? Will you sit and eat with me everyday? Will you put the phones away and lie down with me to listen to nothing but each other’s heartbeats? Will you be my pillow when I want to give it all up and calm down? Will you run your fingers through my hair until I go to sleep? Will you laugh with me on the simplest and silliest things?  Will you be my home? 

 May these dire times remind us to be grateful again ⠀ The long evening walks with your friends, giggling and gossiping ⠀ The getaways and the holidays you took to discover yourselves and the world ⠀ The wonderful delicacies you would enjoy with your loved ones to celebrate life events or just a cheat meal ⠀ The big party nights with your social circle to mingle among each other and go all out to forget any agonies of your own ⠀ The small drives you could take with your loved one just to be able to make them feel better ⠀ The movie nights where you might have gone just to be able to enjoy your friends’ company rather than the film ⠀ The open conversations you could have with any stranger who would be dog walking beside you in the park ⠀ The fun filled shopping trips and the guilty pleasures you had in the most crowded of malls ⠀ An encouraging tap on the shoulder, a happy hug, mischievous tickling, loving gesture of holding hands, or just a cheerful fist bump ⠀ Everything which onc...

 कल यूँ ही किसी ने पूछा की बताओ ज़रा कौनसी ऐसी जगह है जहाँ सबसे ज़ादा सुकून मिलता है? तभी दिल ने बिना सोचे समझे कहा की यह तोह दादी का घर है  वो शहर जहाँ तुम पच्चीस के हो कर भी पांच के ही बन जाते हो  वो शहर जिसमे बचपन की सारी छुट्टियां बितायी थी वो शहर जहाँ तुम्हे यकीन था की हमेशा तुम्हारे पीछे दादू या चाचू खड़े रहेंगे तोह फिर तुम लूटो मज़े ज़िन्दगी के जितना भी जी करे वो शहर जहाँ सुबह की शुरुवात गरम गरम जलेबी और दादी के हाथ की पूरी आलू से होती थी वो शहर जहाँ दिन में चाचू क साथ छुप छुप के लूना पर सवार मेले में झूला झूलने जाते थे  और ठेले पर से पराठे और पानी पूरी का लुफ्त उठाते थे  वहां जहाँ रात होने का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार करते थे क्युकी दादू की कहानियों से झट्ट से गहरी नींद आ जाती थी  वहां कभी डर नहीं रहा की अच्छे नंबर नहीं आये, और हम अच्छा व्यवसाय नहीं बना पाए तोह क्या होगा  वहां कभी जलेबी और कचोरी खाने में हिचक नहीं हुई क्युकी वज़न कम करने की तब किसको पड़ी थी  वहां कभी किसी तीसरे के बारे में सोचना या कोई तुम्हारे प्रति क्या सोचेगा ऐसे ख...

Yes, I want to be happy! Yes, I want the man of my dreams, the most ambitious job, the most beautiful home and the most fit body. I want it, I want it. I want it all! So, what do I do? Well, logic says that I put in the most effort into my relationships, work the hardest in my current job, think out of the box, have the courage to sacrifice and workout with discipline and aim for the bull’s eye and then, Voila! I will have everything. But let’s be honest here, how many of us really go through with this? People often spend one third of their lives just dreaming about these, next third in the frustration of not being able to achieve these and then the last bit of it finding excuses and wisdom of why they couldn’t reach these goals.
